You may make use of this site for personal use, non-commercial use or research, provided that any reproduction includes a prominent acknowledgement of Drowning Prevention Auckland’s rights in the relevant content. You may not use this site or the content on it for any other purpose or in any other way.
ORDERING PRODUCTS
An order made via this site is an offer to purchase one or more products. When you place your order, Drowning Prevention Auckland will email you an acknowledgement. If there are any issues with your order we will try to contact you.
Acknowledgement of your order or acceptance by Drowning Prevention Auckland of payment for your order does not constitute acceptance of your order. Drowning Prevention Auckland’s acceptance of an order does not take place until the order is dispatched to you.
Where possible your order will be sent in one consignment. However, Drowning Prevention Auckland may send your order in multiple shipments.
The risk of any loss of, or damage to, any product will pass to you on delivery. Drowning Prevention Auckland may, in its entire and unfettered discretion, refuse an order. Refusal may, for example, result from:
- The product ordered being unavailable, or
- Fraudulent activity flags being activated, or
- The identification of an error within the product information, including price or promotion.
Please note that stock levels are indicative only.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
The products will comply, in all material respects, with their product descriptions appearing on this site at the time when you submit the order. RETURNS POLICY
When you buy at Drowning Prevention Auckland you buy with confidence. We stand behind the products we sell and have one of the fairest returns policies in the market.
FAULTY GOODS
Unless stated otherwise, all items carry a 6 month warranty (some products have longer warranties). If you think your goods are faulty, simply return them in person to our office or send them with a covering letter containing your contact details and any information you think is relevant to:

Once we have received your goods we will assess them and contact you to discuss the options. At first instance, we will organise to repair or replace the goods. If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced we will refund the purchase price.
UNWANTED GOODS
Unused but still saleable goods complete in their original packaging may be returned to us for a full refund for up to 1 month after purchase, excluding any item that was specially ordered or modified to meet your specifications. Receipts must be provided. Replacement goods will be sent to you freight free.
This does NOT alter or reduce your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act. It is an additional benefit to Drowning Prevention Auckland customers.
PROOF OF PURCHASE NEEDED
Like every retailer we require proof of purchase for returns. Ideally, this will be a copy of your receipt. If you can’t find your receipt we can usually bring up your purchase details on the computer.
If you do not have a copy of your receipt, we will need as many details as possible about your transaction, such as date of purchase, payment method, etc and we will try to find your transaction in the computer.

STANDARD FREIGHT COSTS
All web store customers are entitled to our Flat Freight fee’s:
$30 for South Island
$8 for Auckland
$15 for North Island except for Auckland
Flat Freight applies to online orders only.
International delivery: We do not ship items internationally via our web store. If you are an international customer and wish to purchase an item, please email us at [email protected]
Rural delivery (RD): Items going to rural delivery addresses usually take 1-2 days longer. RD orders may attract a $4 surcharge (bulky or heavy items may cost more) on top of the standard freight rate.
Island delivery (includes orders going to):
– Hauraki Gulf islands
– Chatham Islands
– Stewart Island
– Any other offshore island within New Zealand
Customers having orders sent to these destinations will be contacted with the respective freight prices.
BULKY ITEMS, HEAVY GOODS AND DANGEROUS GOODS *
Bulky and heavy items: Items that are too big or heavy to go via courier.
Dangerous goods (DG): Dangerous goods are solids, liquids or gases that can harm people, property or the environment and are subject to chemical regulations. Each dangerous good attracts a $10.00 DG charge on top of the standard freight rate. Dangerous goods (excluding flares) are typically sent via courier. Flares are sent via specialist freight companies. Please note delivery can take up to 10 days.
Items that are considered dangerous goods include the following:
– Inflatable life jackets
– Inflatable life jacket re-arm kits
– Flares
*Please note these are just examples, the exclusion is not limited to this list.
When purchasing, freight on heavy or bulky goods is calculated based on delivery within a main centre. In the event there is an extra freight charge (e.g outer area or rural delivery) we will contact you to explain the situation. Goods will be shipped once payment has been collected and validated. Customers will receive a dispatch notice with a tracking number once their order has shipped.
DELIVERY INFORMATION
Each product on this web site is displayed with a lead time. This is an estimate of the time it will take for the goods to reach you in New Zealand once your payment is confirmed.
Your product will be shipped by courier or freight company depending on your selection of goods. Consignment details will be emailed to you allowing you to track your order using the carrier’s website.

Please note that dates given for delivery are a best estimate and are given in good faith but are not to be treated as a condition of the sale. No claim shall be made by you on account of late delivery however caused. Late delivery shall not constitute a breach of this contract by us, and you shall not be entitled to cancel the contract because of late delivery.
